S.T.A.R.S Productions
The Hall 1 S.T.A.R.S Productions is a musical productions committee that is unlike any other in NTU. For more than 10 consecutive years since 2001, the team have been producing well-received performances that have captivated the hearts of many. The annual musical, features an original script, written and performed by the talented individuals in Hall 1, as well as self-composed songs, which are brought to the audience by Hall 1's very own live orchestra.

Stained, our story this year, is set in the 16th century English mining town Berrytown. It depicts the return of 2 siblings from the main city after their studies. Berrytown's mining trade has been declining over the years with the rapid depletion of gold ores. William and Wendy Huckleberry are determined to revive their town after the discovery of the new valuable ores deposit.
With their skill sand knowledge, they introduced various changes around the town and significant improvements can be seen. But is blood always thicker than water?
Get swept off your feet with the cast of Stained and see how they dance and sing like never before. The S.T.A.R.S Productions team is set to prove how a small taste of success cannot replace family, morals and values... Ultimately, great success comes with grave sacrifices.

Director
The director envisions the overall outcome of the play. He brings the story into life, merging the songs with the script and the actors with their props. He guides all aspects of the play, ensuring the smoothness and general flow of the musical.
Music Directors
In charge of writing all the songs for the production. This portfolio is perfect for those who are looking for an avenue to express their musical talents.
Sets Managers
The set of each scene plays an important role in portraying the mood and atmosphere to the audience. Props are designed and made to bring out the most in each scene, backing up the story being acted by the actors. This portfolio will be in charge of the designing, the making and purchasing of any necessary props required.
Business Managers
In charge of getting sponsorship and organizing canvassing activities. This is a portfolio where you can put your business ideas to use.
Make-up & Costumes
In charge of dressing up the handsome & pretty casts, as well make-up, making them picture perfect.
Playwright
The playwright is the creator of the production, in charge of writing and editing the script. This portfolio is designed for people who have lots of ideas and creativity.
Stage Managers
Make sure that all elements of the play are in the right place and at the right time. This portfolio is particularly suitable for people who are able to perform multi-tasking.
Technical Officers
A musical is never complete without the lights and sound effects, adding life to the performance, building up the tension and climax. This portfolio will be in charge of the any lighting needs or sound effects.
Publicity & Publications
In charge of designing posters, shirts, tickets etc. A portfolio where you can let your creativity fly freely and catch the attention of the public audience
Admin/Welfare Officer
The admin/welfare officer will look after the needs of the committee members, as well as assisting the producers with administrative matters.
